My husband and I run a landscape business out of our house so having a working garage door is essential. We noticed that a hinge had broken and tried to purchase a replacement part at a local box store. Realizing the part didn’t match our current hinge we decided to Google “garage door repair”. Precision Doors popped up and we read the information on the site. Being business owners ourselves, we understand the importance of finding honest people who won’t run a large tab for unnecessary parts. So we figured we would give it a shot. I called Precision Door on Monday and spoke with Tom, who mentioned how odd it is for hinge 1 to break. He mentioned that a spring or cable may also be an issue but stressed that we could use the hinge we purchased at the box store and make the repair easily on our own. While I was on the phone my husband took a look at the door and found that the cable was starting to fray. We opted for an appointment the following day. Our local electric company suddenly notified us of a scheduled power outage for maintenance in our area the next day. So we called Precision Door that night and had the appointment changed to Wednesday instead. Late Tuesday night we were again notified by our electric company. We had not lost our power and instead the work was scheduled for Wednesday. This was the day we had rescheduled our original appointment for. The power company offered a generator and I contacted Precision Door to make sure they would be comfortable still working on the door using a generator. I was assured it wouldn’t be an issue. Gabriel came to fix our garage door and was very punctual. We cannot give enough stars for the amazing work and kindness he showed. We are in the middle of a heat wave. Today was at least 93 degrees, no power at the house, no fan running and most likely hotter in the garage. Gabe was extremely polite and professional. He explained everything he was doing. He did a thorough look over our door and showed us some issues we had. He allowed us to make the decisions over whether or not to replace certain parts. He was honest with pricing, he told us certain parts could be purchased elsewhere for less money however the convenience of having them installed and the security we felt with his professionalism made us want to have it all completed right there. There are not enough nice things to say about how well things worked out. Thank you Tom for explaining what else could be wrong with the door. Thank you Beth for working with us around our changing schedule, thank you Gabe for your fast, professional and kind work, and thank you Keith for providing us with such a wonderful company. My garage door spring broke (during the Covid 19 pandemic). I called to schedule a repair and Greg Barndt was here the next day. He was professional, neat, explained everything about the two repair options I had (rebuild or install a new single torsion package). I made my decision and he installed the new system.
